On the first debate - Clittary Hilton

12:03 pm - On the first debate
Trump was taken to the cleaners during his first debate. He had assumed the role of an old-fashioned honorable gentleman, who he may well be but whom the American public very emphatically does not wish to see as their President. In playing this role, he missed spectacular opportunities.
-- Moderator: Why don't you release your tax returns? So far so good. Then Hillary begins to unctuously speculate.
-- Trump: Will do so when Hillary releases her emails.
-- Clinton: I wonder what we may see in those returns. Perhaps, Donald is not as rich as he says he is. Or maybe he is in debt. Or ...Trump should have also rehearsed an attacking response to the "birther" question.
-- Trump (missed opportunity -- in the same tone): I wonder what we may see in those emails. Perhaps. the circumstances of Vince Foster's death. Or details of negotiations with her Saudi friends on selling our national interests for a donation to Clinton Foundation. Or ...
-- Moderator: Why did it take you so long to recognize that Obama was born on US soil?
-- Trump (missed opportunity): Because I was not satisfied with the proof. You see, we cannot take his word at its face value. Our President is as mendacious as is his Secretary of State. It is evidenced by his infamous cheat on the Iran deal or by the way he fooled us with Obamacare. I was probably wrong in my suspicion, but so what? He deserves no trust. And neither does Madam Secretary.
